Help us bring the stories of our heroes to life

At the Old Soldiers Home Foundation, we believe the stories of our veterans deserve to be heard and celebrated. That’s why we’re partnering with TaleGate, a storytelling organization founded by Jack York, to produce a powerful documentary showcasing the lives and experiences of veterans at the Armed Forces Retirement Home.

The project

This documentary will take you on a deeply personal journey with veterans from World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Their incredible stories of bravery and sacrifice will be intertwined with the history of the Armed Forces Retirement Home. It's more than just a look back at their service; it’s about celebrating how the Home provides a place where they can live and thrive.

We’ll also introduce you to other residents, the devoted staff, and the enriching programs that make this place so special. By the end, we hope viewers will have a greater appreciation of the veterans’ remarkable stories, but also the everyday heroes who support them and the lasting legacy of this extraordinary Home that has welcomed so many generations of veterans.

Our goal

We aim to raise $22,000 through donations to cover the costs of production.

Jack York, founder of TaleGate, has generously committed to matching all donations to bring this project to life!
