2023 financial results
Thanks to continued support particularly from individual donors, as well as many new donors this year, the Old Soldiers Home Foundation raised over $28,000 this year. We spent nearly $42,000 on programs focused on improving the quality of life for enlisted veterans residing at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, including:
Replacing pool entry chairs to help residents with mobility issues enjoy the therapy pool
Extending our support to the Gulfport campus with a new recumbent trainer for residents and their physical therapists to use in the gym
Helped sustain the golf course with by replacing the range ball collector and maintenance on the golf carts, mowers, and irrigation system
Added new community events including volunteer appreciation and game night, as well as our second annual Veterans Day celebration
Repeated contributions to get the gardening program up and running for the season
We rolled out a new website and email management service to help us keep in touch with supporters, and reduced fundraising expenses.
